Last year (2008) it took an entire year to complete one work of art. Granted, it was a pretty deep and complicated piece ...but REALLY now. Just one artwork??? Can you tell there was a LOT of frustration roiling around? UGH. Now, add in this fact: I've always wanted to paint on the walls, create a mural (or two or three <lol>). Growing up as an air force brat means doing a LOT of moving from place to place. One of the many places featured LOTS of castles with murals on the walls. I thought that was SO COOL. I've always wanted to do that: a mural. Really wanted it. BUT, I am SO BUSY all the time...when could I POSSIBLY find time to paint a mural on the wall??? I have a few in the back of my mind but they're pretty complicated (which translates to time consuming <ugh>). So, one day, I am watching a concert on TV. The Black Crowes. They had a FABulous set backdrop on the stage. Really awesome. And it was pretty simple. And, it was on a red wall. And...I just happen to have a red wall, in my bathroom <lol>. hehehehehe. Red walls pre-painted AND a simple design that wouldn't take tooooooo long to do. Hmmmmm. Guess what happened. I must admit that I added and changed things a tad (I even added a few black crows too <g>), but that's where the idea STARTED :)
